airtime ~ Broadcast Streaming Radio

Airtime is an open source application that provides remote and
collaborative automation of a broadcast radio station.

Major features:

  • Web-based remote station management. Authorized personnel can add
    programme material, create playlists or smart blocks, and stream in live,
    all via a web interface.
  • Automation. Airtime has a scheduler function that enables users to
    create shows with content for playback at the exact date and time specified.
  • Playlists, smart blocks and remote stream URLs can be used multiple times.
  • Solid playout. Airtime uses the open source Liquidsoap streaming language for reliable and precise playback to multiple outputs.
  • Open, extensible architecture. Stations are free to extend and alter
    all parts of the program code, under the GNU AGPLv3 license.

ly2video ~  GNU LilyPond Files Into Video

ly2video is a Python script which converts music represented by a GNU LilyPond file into a video containing a horizontally scrolling music staff which is synchronized with a MIDI-generated audio rendering of the music.

It is also possible to synchronize the video of the scrolling music notation with a previously recorded audio track of the same music, such as a live performance, even when the audio uses tempo rubato or is not precisely metronomic.

mp3guessenc ~ Analyze Audio mpeg Files

… a small utility for analysis of audio mpeg files and detection of the encoder used (when layer III).

Further, mp3guessenc can detect many details about the mpeg audio stream and print out lots of useful information.

Supported streams are mpeg 1, mpeg 2 and unofficial mpeg 2.5 – layer I, layer II and layer III of course. Xing tag, lame tag, VBRI tag, Id3 tags (both 1.x and 2.x), APE tags (both v1 and v2), Lyrics3 tags (both v1 and v2) and MusicMatch tag (any version) are detected as well.

  • scan mpeg 1/2/2.5 streams, layer I/II/III
  • guess encoder used (lame/gogo/xing/helix/fhg(new, old and ancient)/blade)
  • also detects mp3pro and mp3surround streams (even with OFL)
  • support for large files (up to 2^60 bytes!)

  • full statistics for the stream (audio mode, frame histogram, block usage, ancillary data)
  • crc16 verification
  • vbr tags by xing/lame + VBRI tag by fhg
