Decibel Audio Player is a GTK+ open-source (GPL) audio player for GNU/Linux. It is very straightforward to use thanks to a clean and user-friendly interface. It is especially targeted at Gnome and follows the Gnome HIG.
Decibel Audio Player is built around a highly modular structure that lets the user disable completely the features he does not need. A disabled feature uses absolutely no memory and no processor time.
Decibel Audio Player is a real audio player and does not include features that are not meant to be part of an audio player. These features, such as tagging files or burning CDs, generally have a better support in dedicated software. If you are looking for an audio player that can make coffee, then you should stay away from Decibel and give a try to other players (e.g., Amarok, Exaile).

puddletag ~ GNU \ Linux Audio Tag Editor
puddletag is an audio tag editor (primarily created) for GNU/Linux similar to the Windows program, Mp3tag. Unlike most taggers for GNU/Linux, it uses a spreadsheet-like layout so that all the tags you want to edit by hand are visible and easily editable.
The usual tag editor features are supported like extracting tag information from filenames, renaming files based on their tags by using patterns and basic tag editing.
Then there are Functions, which can do things like replace text, trim it, do case conversions, etc. Actions can automate repetitive tasks. Doing web lookups using Amazon (including cover art), Discogs (does cover art too!), FreeDB and MusicBrainz is also supported. There’s quite a bit more, but I’ve reached my comma quota.
Supported formats: ID3v1, ID3v2 (mp3), MP4 (mp4, m4a, etc.), Vorbis Comments (ogg, flac), Musepack (mpc), Monkey’s Audio (.ape) and WavPack (wv).

ly2video is a Python script which converts music represented by a GNU LilyPond file into a video containing a horizontally scrolling music staff which is synchronized with a MIDI-generated audio rendering of the music.
It is also possible to synchronize the video of the scrolling music notation with a previously recorded audio track of the same music, such as a live performance, even when the audio uses tempo rubato or is not precisely metronomic.
